Yänonhchia’ Housing Finance and the First Nations Market Housing Fund Collaborate to Facilitate Housing Access for First Nations in Canada

Ottawa, December 2, 2024 – Yänonhchia’ Housing Finance (Yänonhchia’) and the First Nations Market Housing Fund (FNMHF) today announced a historic agreement aimed at improving access to housing finance and ownership support services for First Nations across Canada. The two organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the foundations of an ongoing collaboration to offer complementary tools and broader support to communities.

This partnership represents an opportunity for both organizations to work more closely together and share information, optimizing their impact. Under the agreement, Yänonhchia’ and the FNMHF will collaborate on various projects to accelerate the achievement of their goals while advancing their shared mission of contributing to the economic and social development of First Nations in Canada.
